BEST Group, active in armouring and defence technologies in Türkiye, and Italy-based military vehicle engineering company Base Studio have signed a cooperation agreement in defence technologies and vehicle design.
The memorandum of understanding was signed at Base Studio’s stand during the SAHA 2026 International Defence, Aerospace and Space Industry Fair, hosted at the Istanbul Expo Center.
The parties plan to work jointly on next-generation vehicle design, engineering solutions and product-development processes for international markets. The partnership aims to develop solutions suited to end-user needs and to increase export-oriented projects in the defence industry.
Local production and international engineering vision
TERA Holding Chairman Emre Tezmen said that Türkiye has become a strong production hub recognised globally for the technologies it develops, rather than a country that simply meets its own needs. He emphasised the importance of combining domestic production capability with an international engineering vision.
Export-oriented product development
The parties aim to introduce new products to international markets and contribute to Türkiye’s defence-industry exports. Base Studio Chairman Mehmet Remzi Oduncu said he was pleased to work with BEST Group and expected the partnership to deliver long-term, productive results.
