The foundations of Dolmabahçe Holding date back to 1973 with the establishment of Özkan Precious Metals and Jewellery. Originating in the precious metals and jewellery sector, this first venture marked the beginning of a long-term institutional development process that gradually expanded into multiple strategic industries.
One of the group’s earliest milestones in the media and publishing sector was the launch of M5 Defense and Strategy Magazine in 1974. Focused on defense, strategy and national security, M5 became one of Türkiye’s most established publications, recognized for its analytical content and expert commentary. The group’s publishing activities expanded significantly with the establishment of Kopernik Publications, Vega Kitap and Kopernik Children, creating a diversified publishing structure covering literature, history, thought, biography and children's publications.
International publishing capabilities were further strengthened through Kopernik Publishing House, headquartered in Maryland, USA, forming a global publishing structure producing English-language works. Media activities were expanded beyond print through the launch of the M5 Prime YouTube channel, contributing to digital content production and visual broadcasting. In parallel, cultural and event organization activities were institutionalized under the DBL brand, strengthening the group’s presence through national and international concerts, events and cultural productions.
International business development and consultancy activities were institutionalized under GSA Global, enabling the group to expand its commercial and strategic operations across different regions. As part of this expansion, PT Turindo Niaga Nusantara (TNN) was established in Indonesia, playing a key role in regional representation and business development activities, particularly in defense, technology and strategic sectors. The group’s capabilities in defense technologies were further strengthened through BEST Group, with projects developed in engineering solutions, protective systems and advanced defense technologies.
In the retail and lifestyle sector, an experience-oriented retail structure was developed under the Publico Coffee brand. In 2025, Annalisa Diamond was introduced as a contemporary jewellery brand, reinterpreting the group’s deep-rooted heritage in precious metals with a modern design philosophy and craftsmanship approach, producing elegant and timeless pieces designed for everyday life.
In 2026, the group’s international trade operations were reorganized under a more institutional structure with the establishment of Dolmabahçe Foreign Trade Inc. In the same year, Dolmabahçe Construction was established, and with the inclusion of BEST Group into the structure, the group achieved a more integrated operational framework across sectors including defense industry, construction and real estate development, precious metals, media and publishing, foreign trade and retail. With the consolidation of its companies, brands and publishing platforms under a unified institutional framework, Dolmabahçe Holding was formally established as a multi-sector investment and management platform.
