Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Kaya

Born in Kirsehir in 1980, Prof. Dr. Huseyin Kaya completed his undergraduate education in 2004 with a dual degree from Istanbul Bilgi University, Department of Economics (Honors Program) and the London School of Economics (LSE) International Programmes, Department of Economics. He received his master's degree from Istanbul Bilgi University in 2007 and his Ph.D. from Marmara University's Economics (English) Program in 2011.

Kaya conducted financial and economic research at think tanks and private sector consulting firms between 2003 and 2007, before launching his academic career in 2007 at Bahcesehir University, Department of Economics. After serving at Bahcesehir University from 2007 to 2015, he joined Istanbul Medeniyet University, Department of Economics. Kaya served as an associate professor between 2015 and 2021, and has been serving as a full professor since 2021.

Alongside his academic pursuits, Kaya has taken part in numerous research and consultancy projects for the public and private sectors in the fields of economic policies, financial markets, and macroeconomic analysis. He also served as a Senior Advisor to the President at the Presidency of the Republic of Turkiye Finance Office between 2020 and 2025.

Specializing in macroeconomics, financial economics, and data analytics, Prof. Dr. Huseyin Kaya has published numerous scientific studies in peer-reviewed national and international journals within these fields. He is married and has two children.
